Nicola Roberts Born 5 October 1985 in Runcorn Biography Before hitting the big time as one fifth of Girls Aloud in reality TV show Popstars: The Rivals, Nicola went to St Chad's School in Runcorn and worked in the Railway Pub. She grew up dreaming of being a pop star and was even a member of a couple of other (unsuccessful) bands before auditioning for the Popstars: The Rivals in 2002.
